Here at Paintniques, we're a little Haunted by Creativity... so naturally, we're turning that into a challenge!

Whether your Halloween style is spooky, whimsical, gothic, creepy, cute, or somewhere wonderfully in between, we want to see what happens when you combine a little imagination with Halloween decoupage paper.

Create Halloween home décor using decoupage paper and show us what you've done!

🎃 The Challenge

Create any Halloween home décor project featuring Halloween-themed decoupage paper.

Think pumpkins, signs, canvases, trays, lanterns, wreaths, boxes, jars, altered objects, tabletop décor... or surprise us with something we haven't even thought of.

Any brand of Halloween decoupage paper is welcome.

👻 How to Enter

• Your project must feature Halloween-themed decoupage paper.
• Your project must be completed and submitted by October 25, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.
• Submit 1–5 photos of your finished project, including one full-project photo and at least one close-up.
• Tell us a little about what you created and which decoupage paper you used.
• One entry per person.

This is a place for makers, artists, furniture painters, decoupage lovers, DIYers, experimenters, beginners, seasoned creatives, and anyone who has ever looked at something and thought…

“I wonder what I could do with that?”

Here you’ll find inspiration from the artists of Paintniques, creative ideas, tutorials, challenges, new techniques to try, behind-the-scenes peeks, and plenty of opportunities to share what YOU are creating.

But more than anything, we want this to be a community where creativity feels exciting instead of intimidating.

You don’t need to create like anyone else.

You don’t need a perfect project.

You don’t need years of experience.

You just need the curiosity to try.

🎨 Introduce yourself and tell us what you love to create.

📸 Share your projects because we absolutely want to see them, whether they’re finished, halfway there, or currently in the “I have no idea where this is going” stage.

💬 Ask questions. Someone here may have exactly the tip you need.

❤️ Encourage other creators. A comment, idea, or kind word can sometimes be the spark that keeps someone creating.

🖌️ Try something new. Join a challenge, experiment with a technique, discover a new artist, or use a design you might never normally choose.
